Asprin is a memeber of the group of drugs called *Salicylates* which ironically was modeled from white willow bark -- a natural anti-inflamatory and analgesic. Asprin is very yin and has blood thinning properties and is a stomach irritant (acid). It is prescribed for stroke patients (TIA/oxygen shortage), people with angina, and for people whose arteriral walls have become too thick from ingesting excess animal fat. White willow and or Meadowsweet can be used instead of asprin and in some instances wintergreen leaves can be taken as well. None of the naturals will cause harm to the somach lining. I hope this helps. In peace, Roy
