Ferdinand

Do what you need to do, reap what you sow.

As you have noticed, my name is Ferdinand.

I'me born in '78 and i live in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Somewhere in '99 a friend of mine who is also doing taijiquan heard i was a vegan. We talked about healthy food and she adviced my to read books of Michio Kushi. So i started to read and i started to change.

At the end of '99 i moved and had to make a new kitchen. I thought -this is the opportunity to start- so i started to live macrobiotically.

First of all i got most of my information out of books. But allready in april 2000 i decided i should do courses to learn faster. So i went to the Art of Life school (2 weeks residential) of the Kushi Institute in The Netherlands. I also went to some cooking classes of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Macrobiotiek. In July i went a couple of days to the European Summer Conference as a translator. I was really impressed by the lecture of Francoise Rivière and i also think the lectures of Michio Kushi and Marc van Cauwenberghe were really good. After this conference i went a week to the International Shiatsu School in Antwerp where i took cooking classes (also as a work student).

And now i am at home again. Still exploring and finding out new things.

I've got a dutch site where i try to explain how i think and why i think that way. Not really interesting when you can't read dutch, you can see my picture on the site and see how sanpaku i am :-)

I would really like to be in contact with other people who try to live macrobiotically. So don't hestitate to e-mail me.
