Cybermacro - Macrobiotics + Macrobiotic Food

When all hope is seemingly lost, I remember the stories of macrobiotic healing miracles. I do believe they are miracles wrought through conforming to the health laws of the Order of the Universe. God is referred to sometimes in 12 Step programs as Good Orderly Direction (G.O.D.). That works for me in this context.

I actually *can* have Good Orderly Direction in all things, including in my macrobiotic practice. When I fast on brown rice each Friday, I regain any lost clarity in my eating habits. Today was no exception.

Last night, I was at a restaurant with friends and the man next to me had ordered French toast. I just has some herb tea but my friend's syrupy-sweet meal called out my name. I used to binge on just what he was eating, at the very same restaurant. It was a telling moment for me. I used a thought-stopping/emotional self-regulation technique I have learned. It truly helped. I then knew that a resentment I'd been carrying around from an unscrupulous businessman was triggering my inner food-addict self. I abstained from bingeing on French toast and called a fellow food addict for support after I got home. It was another victory in my battle to maintain my macrobiotic practice, to abstain from compulsive eating and heal of bipolar disorder. I was and am grateful.

I use the affirmation "I AM whole!" to help affirm my wholeness, which my Guru has taught me through his writings. Whenever my thoughts stray to feeling hopeless, I am endeavoring to affirm "I AM whole" instead. The co-founder of my church once signed a book for me with "Caroline, you are made whole in the Sacred Heart of Jesus!" I am a Jew and  I see Jesus as Messiah and also feel there are many saints and sages in Heaven who are willing to help me if I but ask for their assistance. 

Each day is a new challenge, but Good Orderly Direction is always there if I just access it. For today, I am grateful to G.O.D. for clarity and the Reality that there is an Order of the Universe to which I can conform to by free will, bringing peace and healing.
