| Boy, it feels like a while since I last blogged here. Things with school and life(i just got my first boyfriend, who respects my macrobiotics but who is rather carnivorous himself,more on that later) have kept me away but I am back and excited :) Really the only news with my diet is that I am pretty much 100% organic now. Well maybe not COMPLETELY organic but half the produce I have been buying is organic and besides that I have been living off of organic legumes, soy, wholegrain pasta and brown rice. But for the last week or so I have had huge sodium cravings. When I crave salad, i crave it with salt, when i crave brown rice, i crave it with salt. And i have been salting most things moderately because of it, I'm making the assumption that my body just needs some more sodium since I dont eat any processed foods that provide most people with more than enough salt. Hopefully this phase will calm down and my body will balance out, but it is not that big a deal and right now i am very content with my diet. I do need to cut back on portion sizes though, I have been gaining some weight from stress eating(seconds and thirds anyone?) and I just havent had the schedule to lose it with exercise. That should be all for now...hope everyone has been doing well with their macrobiotics as well. |
