Marsha Rueff teaches cooking classes specializing in the healing diet. She
has studied with world renown teachers such as Michio Kushi and Wendy &
Edward Esko. She is trained in Do-in and Self-Shiatsu. She also gives Shiatsu
massage and other home remedies.
They also offer a Macrobiotic Bed & Breakfast and regularly have guest
lecturers to present programs. Warren Kramer whom is a well known senior macrobiotic
counselor and assistant to Michio Kushi frequently offers programs and also
offers macrobiotic consultations.

The Macrobiotic Center of Dallas is expanding to include a 3000 sq ft. facility situated on 5 1/2 wooded acres located about one hour north of Dallas. The facility will be used for macrobiotic education, i.e. cooking classes, macrobiotic weekend retreats, etc. A two-bedroom, two-bath cottage is being built on the land for use as a Bed and Breakfast. Call for brochure or to make reservations. Construction to be complete by January 2003.

The primary activity of the The Peninsula Macrobiotic Community is putting
on a Gourmet Vegetarian Dinner every Monday night in Palo Alto (south of San
Francisco) in a church. This is a full vegan dinner which includes soup, grain,
beans or bean products, vegetables, dessert, and beverage, prepared by expert
natural foods chef Gary Alinder, our chef since our inception in 1987. Dinner
price is $13, reservations required by Monday, 9:30 AM
About once per month, they feature an After-Dinner Lecture or other event.
Lectures are usually on macrobiotic or other health related topics, by a variety
of speakers including macrobiotic counselors, medical doctors, cooking teachers,
and people who have dealt successfully with serious diseases using macrobiotic
or similar approaches. Other events have included performances by folk singers
and vegetarian Chinese acrobats. Suggested donation of $5.
Dinner Menus are published in advance and accompany the Newsletter. The Newsletter
lists and describes After-Dinner Events, cooking classes, take-out meals, macrobiotic
and related conferences, services, restaurants, and markets. Also you will find
excellent resources related to classes by various macrobiotic practitioners in
the surrounding area.

The Vega Study Center
Center started by Herman and Cornelia Aihara, both students of Georges Ohsawa. Herman was the author of many books and a great leader/teacher. Cornelia, also an author of many cookbooks with family and friends (including David Briscoe, Jerome Canty, Kai cho Niwa, Edward Esko, and Marc van Cauwenberghe, M.D.) carries on her and Herman's dream from here.
