One Peaceful World?

How about "A world community of of individuals that know about the existence of 'The Unique Principle' and 'The Order of the Universe' as manifested from the philosophy and dietary practice also known as macrobiotics, and are also skilled at effectively communicatiing with each other: thoughts, feelings, beliefs and understanding(s)?

Not as succinct of an expression as "One Peaceful World"?

I wonder if anyone has imagined "One Peaceful World" as being a planet devoid of life?

Peace suggests lack of conflict.

I imagine that there is always some kind of conflict in the world between living things even if all living things are eating perfectly and are at at the most evolved state of their species' existence.

So it seems to me that for all living things to live in relative harmony with one another, we must find ways of conducting ourselves in such a way that is fair to ourselves and all others.

A way that it appears to me that people resolve problems that they have with one another, fairly, is via "conflict resolution".

I feel that people can resolve their problems with one another if they approach those problems from a principled (more heart-felt) attitude instead of attitude of positional (judgemental) negotiation.

How does this relate to macrobiotics and world peace?

Well, I feel that in principled negotiation one can communicate more how they feel about an issue instead of taking a position on it and then digging into that position.

In the same way, I feel that if a person is teaching about a way of life that they believe can help people to change their own lives (help these people heal themselves and help them to become empowered) , and then cause these newly empowered people to turn to someone else to help those people to heal themselves and then become empowered and on and on...then I feel that the person at the starting point must be effective at the way that they are teaching so that enough people in the world can be affected to cause that transformation of the world.

If, for some reason, the person at the beginning of the chain of healing and communication is less effective at communicating the whole meaning of his/her message, then the greater effect is lessened, unless the people down the line in the chain of communication can be effective at interpreting the message and communicating it in a more effective (and powerful way)!

In the quarter-century that I have been involved in the macrobiotic movement (both near the center and on the fringe), I have noticed that some teachers have been teaching macrobiotic information as the absolute (judgemental) truth instead of telling their students that this is their (percieved) understanding of what macrobiotics is about.

While this has been effective in empowering a few souls to go out and change the world, I feel that it has fallen on many more "deaf ears" because of the positional (judgemental) way that it was communicated.

It seems to me that if those of us who wish to help this world become a better place to live (for everyone), wish to cause many to most people in the world to have macrobiotics as a viable option, then we'll need to communicate it in a way that many more people can hear the message (with more heart [to better balance all the concepts that come with macrobiotics] ).

Thank you, very much.
