Re: Natto Miso

: Hi Anne and Stephanie,

: I mentioned Natto miso, not natto, its self. Natto Miso
: is a chutney-like condiment made out of barley, miso,
: kombu, ginger and barley malt. It is espically good on
: whole oats, for breakfast. I also like to use it
: occasionally in Nishimi dishes, espically on whole,
: steamed, small onions, cooked in this style.

: I noticed that when I had a hard time getting up in the
: morning, dried daikon tea helped. I took it every
: morning for ten days. Do you ever try Sweet Vegetable
: Tea? This might also help to lighten up your
: condition. These are very safe types of all purpose
: remedies that most people benifit from. Again it is
: very difficult to tell about your condition, not
: physically being in contact with you. I'm just
: relaying my experiences :)

: The liver controls rising energy and dried daikon tea
: helps clean out and lighten the LV. Of course it is
: still difficult for one to ascertain this via
: computer! Just sharing my experiences.

: Thanks,

: ~El

Thank you, Elizabeth. The natto miso sounds delicious, and I've seen it in my catalogues. Ginger may be too yin for me at the moment, since I'm on a pretty centering diet, but I'll check it out. Also thanks for the idea about Veggie teas and daikon teas. I know it's hard to recommend over the internet. A picture would probably help, for those who can do facial Dx. but I don't have my scanner hooked up yet. Now, I know why I have so much trouble getting up. My liver was dammaged from a blocked kidney emptying into the abdominal cavity 3 years ago. So liver is one of the things I'm working on... but my main concentration at this early date is, naturally, large intestine and lungs.

This is all so fascinating! I love learning ways to improve our overall health, from a natural, and holistic viewpoint.

Thanks, ~Stephanie
