Today on the macro chat, a Schuyler Colfax made an appearance, under the persona of a religious person....to see how he would be treated, before yours truly referred real religious people to this chat group. How he was treated was revealing. His faith, his God, was ridiculed, he was made to feel little and stupid, and following his appearance there was trash talk (I think by Bill or someone, "...you whore" I believe it was he said). Trash talk, no class, 10 steps from the gutter. It was like entering an exclusive group of people who feel they have all the answers, and in their nifty way, they put down and ridicule anyone who does not believe that way. Saying ALL doctors are greedy and don't know anything aboout the human body - how absurd. That is nothing more than catagorizing people who believe different than you. (Next time you break a bone, see how quickly you run to the hospital; next time you see a mole turn cancerous on your skin, see how quickly you run to a dermatologist). The Sunday chats reeks of arrogance. You have become that which you despise. You are inflexible, and do not want to really have a fair interchange of ideas, but rather you are like wolves, and welcome a stranger who believes differently, so you can go in for the kill - criticize that person, make him feel to be a fool, and then interject your own theory on the way things really are. Dismiss all the macrobiotic advocates who are dying as 'not really understanding the order of the universe' or 'not using ginger compresses'. Fact is, middle aged macro's are dropping like flies. I know many people who smoke, drink, and eat steaks regularly, who are living much longer than macro's (and yes, their lifestyle is 'good to the end'). Maybe we will get to the point where we say, to add 10 years to your life, avoid the macrobiotic diet - I hope we don't get to that point, but with all these young/middle aged macro's dying, are we headed there? In any event, you do NOT have all the answers. The biggest mistake you can make is sticking at one rung of the ladder, and not climbing up. The way to climb up, is listen to what other people say, what they have learned through their life experiences, listen with an open mind, not with the intent to humiliate them and show them up as being (in your arrogant opinon) wrong. After what happened today, I cannot in good conscience refer anybody 'not macrobiotic' to the Sunday afternoon chat, because I know what will happen today, just as it happened to Schuyler Colfax. Two final points. Who is Schyler Colfax? He was the Vice President of the US under Grant. Study history. You can learn from it. Does he really have special psychic abilities? Perhaps, but don't let your imagination go wild. On the other hand, there is often more than meets the eye, and you have to decipher the code here.
