DB: Great message about ignoring Scott. You are, of course, right with your shark example. I did not "bite at the bait" he cast, because I deduced that he is really, quite frankly, a stupid individual. I have no knowledge what his background is. I have an earned doctorate from a prestigious university, was inducted into the National Honor Society, etc. I say this not to elevate myself, but rather, to demonstrate that I was capable of seeing how ridiculous his renundant arguments on various subjects really were. In short, any idiot can read a book entitled "how to use big words" in an effort to sound intelligent. One must, therefore, look to the subject matter of what is being said...his arguments, if you will, and his reasoning process is demonstrative of a person with a low intelligence level. Thus, I never saw a need to respond to them. It was fun, actually, to see scott rant and rave, and make an idiot of himself so many times. As I said before, he is the equivalent of the town idiot a hunderd years ago. In any event, getting back to your main point....ignoring him. This is AN EXCELLENT idea. I would suggest that NO ONE respond to scott's postings, and if possible, do not even read them. If you click on to one of his postings (by mistake), simply click off it, without reading it. This will be even funnier than watching him rant and rave....no one will be reading his postings (even if some "hits" show on the tally), and he will be like the proverbial idiot who delivers sermons to a park devoid of people. Will he go away? Maybe. But I think he is such an idiot, that he will continue and continue, thinking people are reading his postings (and just not responding). If he does this, I will also continue and continue....to genuinely laugh at his utter stupidity. He is like a virus. Maybe he is close to running his course. He has infected this discussion group, and is a negative force. This discussion group will be a lot more positive if scott (1) leaves on his own accord and infects another discussion group, or in the alternative (2) is COMPLETELY IGNORED by EVERYONE here. You said it best, DB, he gets a charge out of insulting people (especially women), and engaging people in arguments. I feel certain that he is a wimp, probably an impotent geek, and has no real life to speak of. Normally, I would feel sorry for such a person, but as he is such an abrasive, argumentative, and stupid jerk, I don't have such feelings in his case. So, I throw my hat in the ring. This will be my last posting in which I mention scott. I will try not to pull up any posting that he wrote, but if I do by mistake (as could happen if I do not know who wrote it initially) I will immediately delete it forthwith. Thus, I will never read anything he posts again, and will likewise not respond to anything he writes (as I will not have read it). I respectfully urge everyone to do the same. Maybe then, this worm will crawl away. But if he does not, we should all have a good laugh, as he will (further) verify what I have said all along about him - he is truly nothing more than an idiot who uses big words (and it has been just as funny to see the erroneious context in which he uses such verbage).
