Mark...you should eat for the climate you live in when you are there. As for travelling and visiting you do the best you can. A healing situation would be different than a healthy one on both counts. For healing, yangize with salt and some cooking, or maybe just cooking alone. It won't cause any irrepairable damage if you want to try something once in awhile. In a hot climate you need more yin to balance yang. The idea is the same...try to eat around the middle of the local food spectrum. Natives usually have a good idea. don't mean natives eating at an extreme, but those closer to the Earth. Healthy (and macrobiotic at least 3 - 4 years), do what you feel like and make the adjustments...aka, as long as you balance them. And PawPaw, Mangoes, and Pineapples...which are more yin or more yang in relationship to each other? Bill
