Hi all, friends. I would like to raise a fundamental issue, that is 'sensitivity'. I have read many books of Mr. Michio Kushi, probably all those published in Italy. But I saw that the 'center' of all is the diet, not me. I mean, 50% of grains, 30% vegetables etc. But what if my body is unwilling to eat rice? Thing that, btw, happens often. M.Kushi says rice should taste sweet. But I don't feel so. It tastes nutty, but not sweet. I think this happens because I have emotional garbage stuffed in the stomach, so I very rarely am hungry (isn't it a help request?). But well, one should attain a comprehension of why cereals are so important. Not with the mind but with sensivity. I noticed that if I eat only vegetables I feel something is missing. The same for cereals. Just rice is boring, and unsatisfying. Something is missing. And what about pickles? Try to eat only pickles and see what happens. I remember of a story somebody told me, of a child living in Sicily, who used to eat dust of bricks. Not cooked nor roasted. But sometimes she went to a hidden wall and scratch it with her nails. The doctor said that probably she had lack of minerals. I also think so. So, I think there should be not rules. But just an indication: cultivate your sensivity. Your body knows what he needs. He already knows. I tried to eat forcefully barley (how tough!), or rice (how distasteful!). The problem is not in rice itself. The problem is: is your body ready for that food? Does he need it? Much probably when you need it it will taste great! I was totally unwilling to eat that 'good' food (the better food of all?). And I was told by a pretty good man. But it has been a really annoying experience. |
