I just had a laproscopic cholecystectomy. I checked out of the hospital after 24 hours. I've had surgery before, and this was a very easy recovery. It's day 3 and I'm almost back to normal activity. Last night we barbequed steak, corn on the cob ... plus a couple of glasses of wine! No problems! No gloom and doom like the other postings here... glad I did it.. good luck.
