Ohsawa and Anti-Semitism?
Just starting reading the book Macrobiotics Yesterday and Today.
Was disappointed to find out, according to the auther, that some of Ohsawa's writings during WW II or earlier were in support of what is called, the protocols of the Elders of Zion. (Protocols promote the idea of a Jewish people conspiracy to take over the world, to control the worlds riches etcl. It's caused a lot of harm to a lot of people and been used as an excuse for violence and hatred even to this day) Ohsawa's Articles Apparently supported the macro diet, lifestyle and philosophy but also gave his blessing as a contrast to the so called protocols within the same articles. I've always admired Ohsawa very much. Even in Essential Ohsawa, people who knew him personally would say how he was truly a free man because he seemed to have a genuine appreciation and love for everyone. Dave |

Quote:
It really is a great book. And it shows Ohsawa's growth as an individual too. Last night reading further on in the book, after WW II, he changes his point of view on the Elders of Zion thing. So in answer to my question, Ohsawa and Anti-Semitism? The answer is NOT! Dave |
