Re: Chi Kung
I have practiced spontaneous chi kung. I do not presently because I do not have the space for it.
Spontaneous chi kung is where you let the chi in your body flow naturally without controlling it. It can be very powerful for releasing stagnation in the body. I found that when stagnation was released, I had too much energy and it was moving too fast. Basically, it made me much more yang. It needs to be complimented with plenty of good quality yin, unless the person is very yin aleady, in which case, they might not be likely to attempt such a thing. Babies practice spontaneous chi kung on their own. Look at a baby when they move, it is spontaneous chi that moves them. Babies are very healthy and open, so spontaneous chi kung can bring you the health of a baby, if it can be balanced. Thanks ![]() |

Re: Chi Kung
Chi Kung ( or Qi Gong) has many forms. I am learning the tai chi 24 forms. Tai Chi is a form ofChi Kung. I also do different poses and breathing exercises that are Chi Kung. Tai Chi is great for balance, coordination, and overall health.

I really like Chi Kung (Qi Gong) -- I find it to be very powerful. I don't have a disciplined practice right now, but whenever I make time for it I always notice results. Cheerfulness, clarity, increased strength -- these are all things I get from Chi Kung. I recommend it! Mara |
