The Future of "Macrobiotics"?

Hey im new to this forum, so whats up everybody. Yeh i was just wondering like what the future holds for macrobiotics and us people in general. Cuz im 21 and i live in a big city(philadelphia pa)and it dont seem like many people really care about the philosophy of heaven and earth yin and yang. It seems like people are too concerned with wasting eachother and gaining power. Fortunately Denny Waxman founded Essene here but the store these days seems like its more about making $$$ than spreding the word about macrobiotics. Macrobiotics just isnt too popular i guess. Like alot of macro peoples seem really elitist and Airogant which is silly cuz the true spirit of it all is everywhere and can be accessed by anyone at anytime. .. so i dunno where do you guys see us headed? --on our inFinite journey?

Why not?
They are macro, and Denny is leading the scene in philly.
Get involved if you care about macrobiotics. How can you complain
if you won't get involved. Besides, it just sounds like yin arrogance to
me. If you want to quit the sugar, then face it when it rears it's ugly head!

i mean i dont fit in cuz i dont talk like them and dont dress like them
but i have respect for what denny built as far as reputation and status in this city. Maybe ill go sometime... well see

Welcome, and thanks for posting; it's good to see some new activity on this board. I think the future of macro lies in _our_ hands -- yep, you and me and the rest of us. The future rests on our ability to be sensitive, informed, articulate and interesting champions of the cause. There is a want of good sound common sense out there -- people are hungry for something to help make sense out of life in these crazy times and make them happier and healthier... Sure, it's not everyone, but there are a lot of open minds. We all bring different strengths to the table -- you use yours, and I'll use mine, and we'll keep the spirit alive and flourishing.
