Hi Cesar. Good idea to start a macrobiotic group in Lebanon, however money should NOT enter into the picture if you want it to be successful. Money will only poison truth and create a bad system with egocentric hierarchy. You need great flexibility and ability to embrace all people from all walks of life. You just need people who are interested and dedicated – that is all. If this does not work then macrobiotics is not ready to be learned. You can have meetings and pot luck dinners once a month in each others houses. The center is in your hearts, not an office or temple or store front. It is always best to learn from each other and grow as a group. This costs nothing. You can print up a newsletter on a computer. You can translate books into your language and print from your computer or make photocopies, etc. The more sophisticated you become the more problems you will have. Stick to main theme of health, unity, and harmony with nature.
On occasion you can have guest speakers and cooking teachers come to help refine understanding of the principles and practice of macrobiotics. You can have an annual summer camp and have fun together. Once you start making people pay money for everything thing the idea becomes too exclusive. Share with others what you learn. I’m sure we can find teachers here who are willing to travel to help you out if you can spring for their air fare. If their hearts are true to macrobiotics they will go to Lebanon or anywhere there is a need. As George Ohsawa said, “one grain, ten thousand grains.” Some of us have forgotten this main theme and truism. When you are ready for macrobiotic elders and teachers to visit you let us know and we will put out the word.
Good luck.
In peace, Roy
