What is Macro Scribe

Every two months a new Macro Scribe http://www.cybermacro.com/macroscribe contest begins, where our talented story authors, which can be anyone of you, will write stories that have some sort of macrobiotic theme to them. These can literally fit into any genre you can think of, if we do not have one already for yours, let us know and we will create it. Once a story is added, it will be announced in this forum by the author which will speak a few words about it.

Everyone is then welcome to get involved in discussing each story, and the author is welcome to take this input to improve upon what they have already written, and to give them new story ideas etc. Each story written within Macro Scribe can have an infinite amount of chapters, so what may be very exciting is if one particular author develops an overall story concept and first chapter, then others follow that with chapters of their own. MacroMan is something I have written, which is about a Macrobiotic Super Hero, and I personally feel that there is potential for many more adventures / chapters to be written about him, along with the invention of a wide variety of supporting characters. There will even be a category for art work / illustrations, meaning that one of you may be able to breathe real life into MacroMan. This means in terms of our contest that a creative illustration carries just as much weight as a well written story in being a potential winner.

One week before each story cycle ends, it will be April 24th this time, submissions close, and the voting takes place over the next week, so a winner will be declared on May 1st based upon which story receives the most votes.

Some criteria to keep in mind both writing and judging submissions.
  • humor
  • macrobiotic references
  • overall plot
The author of the winning story will receive a $20.00 gift certificate for Simply Natural, http://www.simply-natural.biz, which sells a full range of macrobiotic staples, books, and cookware. Along with this will be the opportunity to have their winning story published in Macrobiotics Today, http://www.gomf.macrobiotic.net/Newsletter.htm upon approval of the publisher. As you write your story, bear in mind the possibility of seeing your name in print, so please limit your entries to not more than 5-6 pages.

Macro Scribe can be a fun way to find the creativity inside each and every http://www.cybermacro.com/macroscribe

Please note that we originally were going to call the new story site macro musing, but have now changed it to Macro Scribe, do not be alarmed if you find an old reference to that here and there.
