I have been toying with macrobiotics for the past 7 months give or take, coming from a very healthy low dairy vegetarian diet for the past 11 years. I was also raised on healthy foods even while i ate meat. Here's the rub: I am a runner, and this is no excuse but I find it harder than anything in the world to kick my sugar addictions!!! I never drank nor enjoyed soda or candy, so that's not the problem. But I can go for almost a week before the only thing I want is my weight in straight jelly!!!! I have replaced regular jellies and catsups with fruit flavored ones, and I eat whole fruits in an effort to ween myself, but nothing works! It's the oddest thing and I feel completely vulnerable, waiting for my next anti-macro binge to hit, help!!!

Re: sugar detox help!!!!
Hello, seems to me running is a very yang sort of activity so maybe your body needs a little jam, and extra water and watery veggies. Maybe you could make your own out of local fruits. Take care, Lysia

Re: sugar detox help!!!!
maybe you could try to make sweet vegetable drink, you boil sweet vegetables like carrots, pumpkin, cabagge , in water and drink that "tea" a few times during the day, it's suposed to help control sugar cravings....you can eat more macro sweets, give yourself healthy sweets so you donīt end up missing the taste of sweet in such a desperate way
