Parboiled Rice
I've just recently, about 1/2 a year ago switched to a parboiled rice diet, 1-2 cups a day, and tea. Thats about it, I try not to consume too much liquid, because I don't like it. Every now and then, I will have some soyghurt or soy milk, or even tuna, but it is getting to the point that I do not want to even conmsume those. I am loving just plain parboiled rice. No oil, no garlic, no spinach. Of which, with those added items, I treat myself specially to, maybe once every two days. But I am beginning to prefer not to. I also forgot to mention that I have Hepatitis C.
I am totally starting to not appreciate anything in my diet unless it is rice, this is good, because I do detest so many of the things that come along with such gluttonish foods like dairy and meat, but that is my opinion for myself. Anyways, this becoming serious for me, I am going to start my own diet, I am not a macrobiotician, but I see some of the similarities between what I am ingesting and the claims that you make in this group. What do you think of Parboiled rice? I can only get Presidents Choice, I would like to grow my own rice, but I am not ready for that yet. Ciao & I hope to hear from you. TFittler@Hotmail.Com |

Dorf,
Welcome to Cybermacro Naural and Macrobiotic Forums! First, I recommend that you download a copy of the Hepatitis C MACROBIOTIC INFORMATION PACKET: http://www.hawaii.edu/hivandaids/Hep...n%20Packet.pdf Then I suggest you connect with Karre Bursell of THE ALCHEMYCAL PAGES http://www.alchemycalpages.com/ who is currently the Alternatives columnist at the HEPATITIS Magazine http://www.hepatitismag.com/ Parboiled rice is cooked and stripped of two of it's key ingredients: bran and germ, and that's why you often feel the need for supplements such as fish and soyfoods. Eat organic whole grain brown rice http://www.simply-natural.biz/natural_foods_grains.php with beans http://www.simply-natural.biz/natural_foods_beans.php and other plant based proteins and you can have the energy to deal with your daily tasks and also consume some sea vegetables http://www.simply-natural.biz/natura...vegetables.php and temperate climate vegetables and start at least one of your daily meals with miso http://www.simply-natural.biz/natural_foods_miso.php soup and in time you will find that your energy, health, and clarity will return to you. The world can always use another rice grower. Where in the world are you? Thank you, very much. _||_ Bruce Paine |
