Naburu Muramoto's Teas in SF...What happened to them?

Hello everyone...

Many years ago when I first learned of MB in Boston, I read HEALING OURSELVES by Muramoto. In it, he had recommended teas from a company in San Francisco which I used to order. These teas were powdered and at times were not so pleasant to ingest...but they were very effective. They came in small paper pouches.

Whatever happened to this company? (I think it was called the San Francisco Herb Company...or something similar? Herbal Tea Company?)

I have some problems I am dealing with...weight gain, menopause, etc. but will defer from posting about these on this thread. I'd like to just find out (for now) if these teas are still available...? Anyone know?

Thank you so much and blessings!

Rose

Re: Naburu Muramoto's Teas in SF...What happened to them?

Hi Rose, Cecile Levin bought Muramoto's business not long after he died.
She felt moved to take it over because she did not want to see it go unattended. In my concerns over her health because of the long hours she was devoting to it, she indicated to me it was more work than what she guessed was needed in spite of her own Center needs. She worked into the wee hours of the morning with all the paperwork. She did not get to the point of beginning to contact the herbalists in San Francisco before she died.

I have tried to find out what happened to the business since she died. She had 2 daughters and I am guessing they are the ones who have wrapped up her final business. I wonder if we will ever see it be resurrected. I heard that Muramoto's son was working to revive the soy sauce, but nothing since I heard this 7 or so years ago.

Ida Muramoto took the 2 daughters and went back to Italy right after Mr. M died...

I'm sorry we lost these healing knowledge. Mr. Muramoto was a true healer . As far as you know, there is no one picking up his formulas in the healing herbs? I've used the Tokato Jokito for stagnant blood and it was very effective. If you know anyone else doing it, please let me know.

Re: Naburu Muramoto's Teas in SF...What happened to them?

Dear Alice,
I too am sad that we cannot obtain Mr. Muramoto's formulas which contributed to our healing and well being...
I have no additional information about how Cecile's daughters have elected to handle their mother's business which included her newly acquired ownership of the tea company, but if I hear news that we may be able to enjoy them again under the care of a new owner, I shall be happy to let Cybermacro.com know.
I deeply regret I have no additional news to offer. Kindest, Dorcas Gerace
