lotus roots given to babies???

My baby had a cold and she is coughing with mucus in her mouth and nose, (of course she doesn’t know how to get it out), I know that lotus roots are effective in this case but is it ok to give a ten months old baby some lotus roots?

Hi,
my experience showed that the best way is that mother takes lotus root tea and cut all mucous forming food for few days, if you breastfeed. If not, I think that you can give baby a small amount of lotus root tea diluted and without salt, and cut everything that form mucous. Colds are not bad and baby's condition is changing very fast, in a few days it will be forgotten. Also I noticed that my children had a cold every time when teeth were coming out. Good luck
