Talking Like to get back with Macrobiotics fulltime; Any tips?

Hi all!

I followed a macrobiotic diet for several years and realized many positive benefits. After I got pregnant with my son though, I expanded my diet to allow for cravings. That was fine and all, but what happened after I had him is that I got further away from Macrobiotics. I tend to have some basic things that I keep but mostly my diet varies based on what I can afford to get, and whatever is in the house.

I've got time to cook and plan meals but I just don't. In the past I've been able to follow the diet for only a week before I got sidetracked again.

I'd really like some tips or ideas to help me get back on track, especially from people who have gone through this and can help with what worked for them.

Thanks!

Gankaku,

I've found we travel a "widening" road if our minds conceive to eat something pleasurable to the senses, but not as our intellect would have us practice Macrobiotics. Once the indulgence is made, we've veered onto the Widening Way. Then another indulgence, and another, and soon we're eating spices, peppers and creating acidic blood.

I am revisiting the writings of George Ohsawa, who says if you are off track...go to a #7 Regimen. If you have a serious disease condition, a #7 is your best chance of clearing it. For those who have growths or tumors, a #7 is still your best chance of clearing it, barring Jesus' way of prayer and fasting. Next best, a *Prudent Ohsawan #7 Regimen. Next best, a #6 or #7, and the Ginger Compress followed by an Albi Plaster for growths. See Zen Macrobiotics for treatment of Serious Disease.

Regimen #7...100% Grains...and *limited liquid.

Regimen #6...90% Grains...10% Vegetables...and limited liquid.

Regimen #5...80% Grains...20% Vegetables...and limited liquid.

Regimen #4...70% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...and limited liquid.

Regimen #3...60% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...and limited liquid.

Any of the above Regimens are Healing. Below this point the Regimen's include animal foods, which are not Healing for disease conditions.

Regimen #2...50% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...10% Animal...limited liquid.

Regimen #1...40% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...20% Animal...limited liquid.

Regimen -1...30% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...20% Animal...10% Salads...
and limited liquid.

Regimen -2...20% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...25% Animal...10% Salads...
...5% Desserts...and limited liquid.

Regimen -3...10% Grains...30% Vegetables...10% Soup...30% Animal...15% Salads...
...5% Desserts...and limited liquid.

*Limited Liquid -- "To accelerate the Macrobiotic cure, you had better drink less...enough less so that in a twenty-four hour period you urinate only twice if you are female or three times is you are male." -- George Ohsawa from Zen Macrobiotics

*A Prudent #7 Regimen is monitoring your own self-healing daily...if in need of a wider variety of food...listen to your body.

The #7 Regimen restores the will and an ability to eat narrowly for reversal of Serious Disease conditions. #3 - #7 above are Healing Regimens. For those in good health...they are free to choose any Regimen above. They are free to choose any food item available to them...that is Freedom.

Disclaimer: Seek a physician's help or a macrobiotic counselor's advice if not well versed enough in the practice of Macrobiotics to implement the above Regimens on your own.
