Behcet and Macrobiotec

Dear Friends,

My wife is having an inflammation in the eyes that come and go. The doctor's diagnosis was that she has Behcet disease. The cause for this disease is not known and there is no cure, the only thing they can do is control the symptoms by using steroids based medicine and medication that regulate the Immune system. The side effects for such medications are very dangerous. Especially she is only 27 years old.

So what I am thinking of is the following: since the origin of this disease is the Far East, mainly Japan and china, and since it is mainly a malfunction in the immune system, where it starts to attack the body parts, could we find the cure in Macrobiotic?? And if we balanced the body by food, could it cure itself? And have you ever heard of this disease or know some one who tried to control it by macrobiotic food? Do you know at all some one who was cured from any disease by following a Macrobiotic system?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
