Red face high blood pressure

When I go to the Dr office my bp is high systolically.First time it happened a couple years ago I was terrified but finally got up courage to take it at home and found it to be normal. Recently had another bad Dr experience and now terrified again to take it. I don't eat strictly macro but I eat no junk food and only organic and vegetarian with occasional fish, also exercise and altho 8lbs overweight not a big problem. Anyway, wondering if there is too much salt in macro diet if I go more strictly macro altho I only use macro recommended sea salt in cooking and Nama Shoyu for seasoning. I know I have white coat hypertension because just the thought of getting my bp taken makes me frightened but not sure how to calm myself, nothing works at Dr office. I also need to find a way to get up courage to take it at home again. Silly aren't I ?

Re: high blood pressure

Howdy there...

Too much salt shouldn't be a problem if you use the correct amounts of shoyu and sea salt...a pinch to cook grains and no more than a tsp. of shoyu when making soups. Only a few drops to your dishes...do not use it to season dishes as you would see in traditional restaurants. It should not be used as a condiment. You should be okay if you follow those guidelines. Remember to BREATHE upon entering the docs office, or better yet, take the BP at home. Be strong!! =)

Best of health,
Jeannette

Re: high blood pressure

Thanks for responding, I appreciate it. I have to find the courage to take it at home. I have tried the breathing when I go to Dr but unfortunately I go into panic mode regardless.
