Ginger Compresses

Hi

I have been doing ginger compresses for about 3 weeks now. I have been feeling quite nauseous and my appetite has changed. I get hungry but am disinterested in food. What food I do eat is unsatisfying. Sometimes I don't get hungry at all. I am also getting exceedingly tired, "crashing" into bed at night and just not being able to get out of bed in the mornings.

Should I be concerned about this? Is this a normal part of the detox from ginger compresses? I started off thinking "how wonderful I'm getting rid of all of these things!!" Now I'm getting a little concerned. I would like to do the full 64 ginger compress program. I am 31 years old and consider myself quite healthy generally.

thanks, Janet

Re: Ginger Compresses

Janet,

Sounds like you are detoxing, which is what a Ginger Compress routine is supposed to do. One of my very knowledgeable macrobiotic friends, when I was new, spoke about the possibility of "healing too fast". I thought, "Healing too fast, what could this be?"

If the discharges from the Compress become overwhelming for you, or you feel very sick, you can ease off, or if not too bad, --you can forge ahead full steam.

Sounds like your routine is very effective, and you are doing it right.

Keep us posted, all your comments are very interesting and informative.

Nancy
