Candida
I was hoping for some advice with healing candida..
I've read some contradictory things, and i'm concerned, if it's ok or not for me to put miso in my soup? I have read that fowl is ok to use in some places, and to be left in others? I have also read that carboydrates of all types inevitably turn to sugars when digested, and this feeds candida.. however.. i've read that small amounts of aduki beans and brown rice are ok? Would it still be ok for me to drink dandelion tea, or burdock tea? I have read contradictions here also, to stay clear of herbal tea's.. But I think they may be beneficial for their healing properties.. Thank you for reading my concerns |

Re: Candida
Hi Lulu,
You are absolutely correct that in terms of Candida, there seems to be contradictory advice out there in terms of ferments like miso. Here is a wonderful article written by Michio Kushi and Alex Jack which applies a macrobiotic approach as it relates to Candida. It does talk about ferments like miso and shoyu often tolerated by people with Candida, if not, someone would incorporate them later into their diet. Hope this helps, Gary |
