"floaties" in the eyes

Hi everyone,

I occassionally get "floaties" in my eyes - opaque dots or strings that move around as you move your eyes. They have never bothered me but I am intrigued - what causes them? What is my body trying to tell me?

Any insights (excuse the pun!) you have on this topic would be fabulous

I have a family member that has gone through exactly what you described. This seems to cover everything you need to know on the subject. http://www.mdsupport.org/library/floaters.html I know in most cases that what you are going through is entirely normal, but you do need to go to an eye doctor to verify this.
