Macrobiotic healing of knee (meniscus) injury?

Hello.

I've been macrobiotic for 9 years and recently suffered a severe knee injury while backpacking.

It's been diagnosed as a torn meniscus.
I definitely do not want surgery.

Has anyone had experience with this?

Thanks!

Exclamation Acidity, Joints, and Knee Problems

Hello Jinenjo,

I recently blew out my knee while doing plumbing under a house and crawling the length of the house several times, in and out, of a portal. My knee was cracking as it bent, it felt like my cartilage was misplaced, and at its worst I was unable to step down on it and carry my body weight at all, without great pain. I intuitively started taking seaweed.

I made Wakame and Onion Soup with a lot of Wakame. I was sure to put a substantial portion of Kombu in both grains and beans. I had taken an energy drink of Shoyu in Bancha Tea, and the Shoyu, although a good natural brand, seemed to exacerbate the knee problem. I had reverted to some raw salads, including green and red peppers at times, -which I seldom eat- during the hottest weather, this summer. I was slowly creating an acid blood condition for myself, which seemed to result in the knee problems.

I went to the healing macro diet, no nightshades, alkalizing, cooked, balanced foods. Within a week the condition cleared up, and it had become severe for two weeks straight. This example shows me the wisdom of the macro diet and eating in balance, excluding acid foods and nightshade vegetables. An acid condition easily creates joint problems.

I have become an expert at treating any condition in my own human laboratory.

Hope the above helps with your own knee condition.

Nancy

Hello Jinenjo,
I have found that rubbing ume paste on my knee helps when I feel pain. Have you tried diet #7?

Good luck...
