The weekend of July 28th we will hold our second annual macro-veggie camp, again in Rhode Island. This is a grassroots gathering and is free (save for the $10. per day camp site).
Our site this year will be on the RI/CT border on Rt. 44 (Rhode Island side) at George Washington State Management Center. It is in a popular camp region with numerous hiking trails and swimming/boating/fishing. Also excellent for biking. There are two health food stores nearby. All foods will be prepared collectively and will be vegetarian quality and all organics.
We will also take a one day journey to the Island of Jamestown (next to Newport) for a seaweed identification class and swimming in the ocean. Maybe a snack or movie (or dancing) later in Newport. If you are into rock climbing there is also a great area for that on the CT. side at Old Furnace State Park.
If you are interested please contact Roy Collins at
Collins_6166@msn.com for more information, directions, etc. So far we have about 14 people planning to join us for this weekend of natural living outdoors.
In peace, Roy
