My only real concern, the reason why I started this thread, is that people reading outdated attitudes towards gender and sexuality in macrobiotic literature will decide that nothing about the diet is worthwhile. I could see that happening with myself, had the circumstances of my exposure to macrobiotics been different.
I would like to say, however, that I don't know of any gay people who choose to be gay -- so as far as choice goes, I would rule out that factor. After all, why would anyone choose to be alienated, ridiculed, and estranged as many gay people have been and continue to be?
So when you say that we can be whatever sexual orientation we wish to be, it's rather misleading, as I firmly believe a true homosexual or bisexual has no choice in the matter. I know I don't. And diet and societal influences won't make an ounce of difference, in the case of people who were born gay.
I do think that astrological influences could have a good deal to do with it, however.
