Hi

Hello everyone.

Thankyou for making this site available.

I first practiced M in the early 70's as an experiment to see how it affected meditation. The results were very positive.

As a baby I had ezcema untill age 15 and then from age 25 very bad psoriasis.

Since that time I have explored quie a number of "Healthy Eating" diets etc plus lots of sensory type eating.

My health over this last winter has been plagued by colds mouth ulcers and a bad bout of a viral Diareah sickness bug.It has so affected my digestion that I have very much bloating wind and poor digestion.

So now I start to tighten up my diet and I found this site.

I have started to practice chi gung and am taking chinese herbs.cut out cheese milk and choc sugar etc.

I would be most gratefull for any advice from anyone .

Thankyou all again for being here.

Re: Hi

Dear Chris,
It sounds like you are starting to transition to macro eating, but a lot has changed since the 70's. To truly benefit from a macro diet i would reccommend that you see a good MB counselor in your area, take cooking classes and read the lastest books (such as Michio Kushi and Alex Jack "The macrobiotic path to total health").
A lot can happen when you start to take out dairy, processed foods etc from the diet, and you should be ready for some discharges. It can take from 2 weeks to several months and in some cases even more before your condition really changes - but if you listen to your body carefully, it will tell you all you need to know.

Good luck & chew well

Karny

Re: Hi

Hi Karny,

Thanks for your reply and welcome,I will try to get to see maybe Jon Sandifer when I am next in london.

I realise that the way that M was practised in the 70's was a little rigid :p .

Funny I ordered the Kushi book last night

Regards

Chris
