Re: what do I feed my cat who has cancer
Barbara,
I have much information and choice of brands regarding pet food that I can post to you within the next few days. I want to alert you to the fact that cats can develop mouth sores from the dish they are eating out of, especially if the dishes are made of metal. I was alarmed to see my cat develop an ugly blister/sore on the outside of her front lower mouth and soon realized she had been eating wet food out of a small aluminum container. I quickly removed it, and had to wait days for the lip to become normal.
She is also in the habit of wanting to drink out of the bathroom sink faucet, like a kid at a water fountain. If she licks water off the bottom drain, again she develops a blister. She seems severely allergic to aluminum and other metals. I use all plastic dishes or heavy stoneware for pets.
