Chris,
I looked around the site and I did not find any mention of macrobiotics, so I guess the discussion does not apply to us, unless we strongly identify with vegetarianism, veganism, or raw foods, which I don't, and I imagine that many others, here, might not, either! Though some of vegetarianism, veganism, and raw foods might function of a subset of macrobiotics, none of those areas truly represents it! On occasion, certain people who advocate for the meat and dairy eating crowd trying to start and win a debate, here, but faced a less than supporting audience and have since left. Where do you stand on diet and what is your practice? Thank you, very much. Bruce Paine |

Re: beyond vegetarianism
Hi Bruce,
I became interested in macrobiotics around 72,I think it was Sugar blues by william Dufty 1st took my interest. Over the years Ive changed diet principles a lot yet always loved the whole philosophy of the macrobiotic take on Life and diet etc. recently been tightening up the diet again into a more formall macro principled diet and i came across that site and was reading some stuff on there about the fact that weve only been cereal eaters for around 10,000 years which is a samll time in comparison to how long humans have been around and the article was quite down on grains generally as being hard to digest because of small time of adaption etc so i was really looking for some counter arguments to strenghthen my resolve to eat more macrobiotically. i appreciate your input and look forward to any more responses. thankyou |
