Flea Powder

I dusted my feral cat with Diatomaceous Earth which is a fossilised powder that kills fleas etc. You are instructed to wear a fine dust mask when using it but I put some gently onto my cat so the dust did not go in the air but then forgot I did it when I brushed him and the dust went everywhere! Now I am in a complete state of panic and fear, I know this stuff can get in the lungs and cause terrible problems. I realise now it probably is not good to put on the cats anyway. But what can I do for myself to offset any problem? I did a nasal wash and drank some herb tea, what else can I do? I feel so worried about it. Am going to dispose of the rest of the bag so it cannot happen again. Thanks for any advice

Apparently the dust can irritate the lungs and respiratory tract.

Maybe it's time to consume some lotus root.

If one wants to prevent Kitty or Rover from getting or keeping fleas or ticks, one can feed them seaweeds like some cooked seaweed or dry kelp powder mixed with their food.
