like where?

there are 365 days no matter where in the world you find yourself - some days will be more yin, others will be more yang.

shb,

I'm a Californian who lives in Boston but has never lived in Florida but I am told that it rains almost every afternoon in Florida unlike in California wherte it rains less frequently.

Since most of the country that I've been to east of the Mississippi is pretty humid, I'd say Florida is too, whereas California is pretty dry.

If you are talking about Southern California and Florida, I'd say that both of them are warm during the Winter though Florida is probably about 10 degrees warmer, so probably besides the whole grains and vegetables, etc, the macrobiotic diet in Florida is slightly more yin consuming slightly more fruits and spices.

Looking to move or take a trip?

You can contact mb people who live in both places to get the low down on practices there before your trip or move.

Thank you, very much.

Bruce Paine

and in Northern California:

Peninsula Macrobiotic Community

THE ALCHEMYCAL PAGES

Vega Study Center

Thank you, vey much.

florida, & california

florida"s really tough. we have floridians on the philadelphia list, and one of them said that she's been there for a terrific number of years and still doesn't know how to balance!

that being said, where in florida? north or south, east or west?

where is the person coming from? north or south? east or west?

california's seemingly a much straighter case. i suppose that you're meaning the south, though.

south florida, northern california

south florida, light grain, steamed or waterless green vegetable, fish. eating at the bottom of the diet - toward #-3 or thereabouts. during the winter, maybe more toward the top,
(#-1, #1, #2?) being careful not to od on the grain. during the summer, more toward the very bottom. when's mango season?

(why do i think of vietnam?)

northern california, on the coast or inland?

what's your condition, anyway? how old are you?

what is the role of "condition" in "diet?"

mb theory states that in order to adjust one's "diet," one needs also to consider one's "constitution" and "condition." these are both commonly-mentioned terms.

"constitution" refers to genetic predisposition.

"condition" refers to current status of one's physical body. one usually states this in an mb persepctive.

"age" is also a determinant because metabolism varies as a function of time.

in stating "non credo," macrobiotics explicitly offers no "one size fits all" 'diet' . . . or . . . opinion, for that matter!

Hi Mike! My condition is alittle good. I would say that I have minor problems as alittle tension from an accident ten years ago. I do yoga to relieve it.

Have a great day.
