Although the reason I love macrobiotics is to grow to a greater appreciation of what life can mean, many turn to it because of disease and are seeking a cure. I often feel helpless when I hear of someone suffering from a life threatening disease and I truly don't know how to help. Especially if it involves convincing them of changing their way of life.
But there are other ways of helping - organ donations is one, blood drives is another, and below is yet another - people needing a match for bone marrow - I'm not sure why the age cut off is 60, especially for those of us who feel healthy - but the least I can do is pass this post on to as many people as I can, so others can also be aware of how they can help save lives.
