chiropractor - good or bad?; nausea

Hello,

I went to see a chiropractor due to pain all over my body (thanks to Lysia) and I have been given adjustments, myotherapy (deep muscle massage) and physical therapy (muscle massage and deep heat via microwave) for a little over 2 weeks now. On the overall, I feel much much better, I feel much rested upon waking, and the migraines (caused by neck stress) have disappeared. I still feel a bit weird after adjustments (proabably the new sense of balance and the muscle mashing) - sometimes I feel really ill for a second and it disappears (I usually pass gass or fall into a deep, relaxing slumber/nap).

My question is, is chiropractic aligned with macrobiotic principles? I like chiro because it is wholistic, non-invasive, and drug-free - however, what about the xray and the microwave treatment?

Also, are my feelings of illness (albeit for a second), could these be some sort of discharge of the whatever (ie lactic acid, too much yin) was released from the muscle and bone manipulation?

I'm scared of vomiting - but my counselor says this is a healthy discharge - though I read in the book that it is one of the more violent, and therefore not too normal discharges. The reason why I added this is sometimes I feel nauseated and it causes an anxiety attack. I have never vomited, not that I try to stop it, it's just that my nausea has not reached that point. (Sometimes I think my nausea is also caused by my panic attacks) - I know that umeboshi and ginger are good for nausea - anyone would want to suggest / comment on this?

thanks!

hey there, I have heard the dizzy nauseaus low times are about liver and spleen. do they give you light exersises to strenthen your self? do you have alot of raw? I used to have the same sypmtoms. This is what helped me, going easy with how much work is done, walking, good drinks of water, roots, miso, snacks w sweet and protien and carb, accupuncture heart liver spleen and lung pts, self massage in short sessions, pressing the space between the nose and lip firmly, lavender to balance all the energy around. getting your body toned helps it hold it all together. Hope, Lysia

Hello Lysia,

Thanks so much for your reply. Can I get accupressure instead of accupuncture, you think? Lavender - do you mean lavender oil in a burner or lavender incense? what about the self massage? what points would be good?
