I would like to make a recommendation for the workshop posted, titled "People Medicine," led by Evan Root. Evan is a long-time member of the macrobiotic community; I first encountered him in a seminar he ran at Kushi Summer Conference.
I've done the "People Medicine" program with him, as well as other sessions with similar focus. It is largely about social connection, as well as mind/body/spirit, areas of macrobiotic practice discussed less than diet.
I would describe the program as various exercises in "social meditation," excuisitely choreographed by Evan, who is an astute, sensitive, and insightful group facilitator.
This program on Oct 21 is one day long, previously 3 days long, but compacted by Evan to make it more approachable for those that haven't done this with him before.
