weight "gain" question

i have been practicing macrobiotic for about 2 years and a half. unfortunately, though i was very slim, i started to lose even more weight. i became too slim. i am not suffering from any illness, or at least dont trying ( i may be suffering from an illness which i dont know anything about). but generally, iam in a good health.
so what should i do or what to eat and how much?
how can i increase my appetite or prevent that which decrease it ?
if you can or think you can help me even with a word, i am very greatful to you.
thanks

Re: weight "gain" question

Hello: I am pretty new to macrobiotics, but I do have some thoughts that may be helpful. First, are you male or female? For some reason, males seem to lose a lot (read: too much) weight on this diet, and I've been told by those who know more that they do better adding more fish and oil to their diets. If you're female, this can also happen, usually relates to being "too yang" (constricted) as they say, and can accompany other symptoms. In this case you would also need to widen your diet, probably include more desserts, more oil, sauteed veggies and maybe even raw salad, also more fruit (in addition to dessert 2-3x a week or so). I'm not sure whether more animal protein would be appropriate for women in this case. Does anyone know? Anywa, if you are eating mostly vegan, it can be hard to get enough fat in the diet, and this could be part of the problem. Add more oils (preferably olive) to your food! I hope this helps.
