yin/ yang personalities

im curious if anyone knows anything about what composes of yin or yang personalities and perhaps how that can be intergrated into the macro diet... in the sense that one might eat more yin or yang - type foods to balance out thier inner tendencies, at least while they are beginning the diet...

Re: yin/ yang personalities

Curious Guest;

Great question! I think yin/yang can not be overly discussed. It is so critical to success with this food.

Personality is a reflection of one's over-all balance, like the tip of an ice berg that is visible above the surface.

Yin/yang is always a exchange issue. Passive personalities (more yin), may have a need for more yang or have a aversion to yang. Conversely aggressive personalities (more yang) may need yin or have an aversion to yin. Balance is integration of yin/yang since yin or yang can not exist without the other.

The big question is: How well does one relate to yin and yang? Yin or yang can be a need in deficiency, or an element of rejection. To arrive at better balance both yin and yang must be given equal consideration. One must fortify both. Yin or yang are not substantiated at the expense of the other.

Personalities are the expression and drama of yin and yang in action. Where they go and what they do is in direct relation to the "weight" of their yin or yang. Motion is always toward balance. Going after a need creates a more yangizing (integrating) path. Avoiding a need by rejecting a yin or yang
creates a yinnizing (disintegrating) path. Ultimately balance will be arrived at. The journey can be smooth and direct, or long, agonizing and complicated.

Its not just a beginners consideration to deal with yin or yang personality. Yin/yang is forever on this journey. The yin/yang of food is basic and primary to this diet. Food alone however is not the the fullness of living. Everything we do, say, feel and relate to, are also part of the whole and contribute to and reflect on balance.

My thoughts based on my experience.

A big subject in a little note. I hope it is helpful.

A case of "more than you bargained for" probably springs to mind for the guest when they read that answer. That certainly was a mouthful! Well written but I just don't get how people that seemingly write so well don't understand where to use "a" and "an" in sentences. "A boat," "An aeroplane"...If it starts with a vowel you use "an" before it, not "a". Minor point but if you're talking about balance and harmony etc. then grammar and spelling is everything!

Re: yin/ yang personalities

When I began my journey into computers I read a wonderful book Bruce Paine recommended on computer ethics (Bruce, can you post it - afraid I'm a bit lazy to look it up - but will if someone asks). What an eye opener it was, also about the world of computers and all its possibilities, but also it taught me how to ignore perfection. I've read many posts on many sites with many mistakes and I am so so so happy to realize that I didn't even notice what unregistered was talking about, I do so love the contents of manymoons posts and am always uplifted. But this isn't about manymoons, or about unregistered. It's about ME!!!! I've been working on being less judgmental, a big issue in mb growth and I thank unregistered to make me realize I have made some progress there!!!!

Unfortunately, I still reread my posts and if they've been posted and I see I missed a mistake I still feel a twinge - now to get rid of that twinge!!!!
