recipes for warmer weather...
I'm having an extremely hard time cooking in this heat, as well as eating foods like adzuki beans and brown rice when it is hot. Forget Miso soup, that's even worse in the summer for me. I'm wondering what I can do to stay relatively balanced, but eat healthy? Please give me some recipes that can offer me nutrition and health for the summer times. Preferably quick recipes are much preferred! Thanks in advance for your advice!

Re: recipes for warmer weather...
Trust those wonderful instincts and cook lighter for the hot summer months. Blanched or water fried salads that include some beans like baby lima beans. (organic canned beans are just fine and save you the cooking). Hato mugi barley is a grass not a whole grain and easier to digest is also great in those salads. Wraps and sandwhiches also make terrific and quick summer meals. Remember the sweet corn on the cob that is bountiful in the farmers markets here in California right now. Rubbing some ume plum on the ears instead of butter is appealing even to the least macro bent people I've met. Remember to make it light and fun and easy. For recipes please vist www.SusanMarque.com
