garlic sauce

I had the most delicious yet simple garlic sauce at a thai restaurant that was without spices and simply the best garlic sauce I've ever had. Does anyone know a good macro garlic sauce for stir fry's?

macroPsychotic,

Garlic is not used much in macrobiotic healing or recovery diets but is enjoyed by healthy people who either occasionally or more often eat gourmet macrobiotic meals.

You'll find a recipe for Garlic Sauce (and other recipes containing garlic) in:
Cooking the Whole Foods Way: Your Complete, Everyday Guide to Healthy, Delicious Eating With 500 Recipes, Menus, Techniques, Meal Planning, Buying Tips, Wit & Wisdom by Christina Pirello .

You'll find a good number of recipes containing garlic in Karma CookBook: Great Tasting Dishes to Nourish Your Body and Feed Your Soul by Dragana G. Brown with Boy George, including a stir fry, a rice dish, and a garlicky soup.

Are you ready for the big hike, yet?

You might want to consider taking along Michio's newest packaged macromeals: http://www.macro-diet.com/ for those evenings that you are too tired to cook.

Thank you, very much.

Re:big hike

Hey Bruce, actually did a big section of my hike already in the socal mountains. Unbelievable amounts of snow in the mountains down there so I had to bypass sections. Looking forward to hiking through Washington this fall. It was hard to stay macro, though, I got so hungry when I got into town I would eat anything in sight. Although when you're hiking 25 miles a day your metabolism burns through anything quickly.

thanks for the recipe book suggestions,
Dan

Dan,

If you are doing hard labor and macrobiotic healing food is not convenient, who says that eating whatever convenient best quality local foods is not taking a macrobiotic approach?

Of course if you have just come out of the mountains after a rigorous hike it might behoove you to be careful if all there is is a donut shop!

Eat the best that you can under any circumstance and if you can pack good quality foods for a normal camping excursion that is fine.

Extreme endurance contests require different diets than persons doing the normal day to day back in civilization.

And don't forget to have a beer, when you are back in the city!

Cheers!

Thank you, very much.
