bento box
Helo.
I am looking for a macrobiotic restaurant in Manhatten N.Y. that can serve dishes in bento boxes, as the only one who did it, as far as I know,The SUEN, stoped serving them. Thanks. Abraham. |

Exactly what kind of bento box http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/virtual/bento/box.html do you require!
It's so sad that Souen (not Suen, as in the author of children's books, Anastasia Suen) http://www.souen.net/ is no longer providing bento boxes to their customers! Perhaps if you return some of the bento boxes that you've collected, cleaned up and allow them time to wash and dry them for you before serving you your meal in them, you can continue to be served macrobiotic meals in bento boxes at Souen! Or if you and Souen have no bento boxes, then you might consider getting the 555 stainless steel lunchboxes http://www.asianawest.com/mulstainstee.html from your local Chinese supermarket. I've been using them for years and a broccoli rubber band works wonders once the hinges start to loosen. Just slide into a plastic non-porous produce bag to protect the other items in your purse or backpack, and you are all set. Thank you, very much. Bruce Paine |

Re: bento box
Hi Abraham,
If you're used to going to Souen, this may be a out of your way, but you can get macro bento boxes for lunch or dinner at Ozu, 566 Amsterdam Ave, New York 10024 Phone: 212-787-8316. I recommend it wholeheartedly! For more feedback, you might want to ask other local macros at the NYC Macrobiotic Meetup message board: http://macrobiotic.meetup.com/6/ Best wishes, Noele |
