difference between couscous and bulghur?
What is the difference between couscous and bulghur? I used to think that the difference was that couscous was always a refined (non-whole-grain) product, but I see now that "organic whole wheat couscous" is now being offered! Perhaps couscous is more 'processed', but if it's whole wheat then in what way exactly is it processed? Aren't they BOTH par-boiled?
Maybe couscous is processed from a wheat variety that has a very light bran? (Maybe only the product sold as 'cracked wheat' is NOT par-boiled, and is different from the other two?) |
