I am unable to buy any aged miso where I live and I need to find a place in Canada that sells it, does anyone know who sells it in Canada?

Thanks

Re: where to buy miso...

anneisia,

Canada is a big place with diverse provinces (4 of which I have been to).

Quebec appears to be the least easy place to get macrobiotic related infomation on-line.

Which province are you located in and close to or in what major city?

Are you opposed to buying aged (I assume you mean 2 to 3 year unpastuerized organic barley [mugi] miso) through the mail or on-line?

The following are 3 mail-order companies (order either by mail, over the phone, or on-line) where you can buy 2 to 3 year unpastuerized organic barley [mugi] miso:

Here's a company in Quebec that may have something you want:

KOYO FOODS INC.
1-800-363-2850
393 Ste-Croix, Suite A
St-Laurent, Quebec, Canada
H4N 2L3
514-744-1299Fax**514-744-0882
koyo@koyofoods.com
http://www.koyofoods.com/

I hope you find the miso(s) that you are seeking.

Thank you, very much.

Bruce Paine

Bruce,
We live in central Florida, on the east coast, and would appreciate receiving online sources for barley miso and nato miso chutney. Many thanks.

Re: where to buy miso...

You simply need to click right on the natural foods button on this very page, and it brings you to a complete catalog of natural foods for online purchase at prices less than other mail order companies. We have both Barley and Natto Miso.

Direct link right to the miso page.

Re: where to buy miso...

Hi Anniesia,

I live in Vancouver and can get aged miso many places. Most health foods stores like Capers carry it. As well, there is a Whole Foods in West Van. I have even found aged miso at Save-on-Foods, but they are out a lot. Where do you live?
