Help me find a Crock Pot
Bon Dia,
I am looking for a crockpot that is made of all natural materials. I seem to find many that are a Lead free glazed ceramic pot. It is the material below the ceramic crock that I am concerned with. I want stainless steel or your opinions about something else that is more healthy? except no ALUMINUM, everywhere I look they seem toobe alluminum?? what kind of crock is that??what kind do do you own. Is it everything you allways wanted in a crock pot ? Help me find a good one* Cheers, Francis ![]() |

Hi Francis,
Most recently, I have discovered that some of the best crockpots are sold in Asian stores with housewares departments. I have recently been fortunate to purchase some small crocks which serve as either bowls or cookware in one of my favorite Korean stores. They have many sizes and are very reasonably priced. I don't know if you have any of those types of stores where you are located, but if not, you may try a few of the macro websites with cookware which include www.cybernaturals.com

Hi Francis,
This is probably about the best crock on the market for making pickles at home. http://www.discountnaturalfoods.com/...s/mir7428.html We have sold many of these and have received positive feedback about it. Hope this helps, Gary ![]() |

What a crock! :-)
Francis,
The macrobiotic expert on natural crocks doen't use Cybermacro Forums so you will need to visit his discussion site: haroldkulungian ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/haroldkulungian/ ) and ask him there. Is there a particular reason why you choose a crock pot over using a regular pot on, for instance, a gas flame? Depending on your finances, cooking environment, and such there are a variety of ways that you can cook your food if for some reason you don't have a regular gas stove. I didn't have access to a gas stove for more than 10 years and I finally started using propane during the warm months and a butane portable stove during the cold ones, until I moved and now my highest priority is access to a gas stove when looking for a new place to live. Good luck on finding that appropriate crock-pot. Thank you, very much. Bruce Paine |
