waffle irons

Hello everybody.

Here is my question. I am a serious macrobiotic cook. I want to make waffles, but I cannot find a waffle iron that can be used on the gas stove. The only waffle irons that are around today are electric. Is my only option to find an older, possibly antique model? What are other people doing? Are people using electric waffle irons?

No waffling!

I'm sorry, but I was only able to find 2 such irons on the Internet.

Cast Iron Waffle Baker

Heavy Duty Cast Iron - Waffle Iron

If the premiere American cast iron cookware company (Lodge http://www.lodgemfg.com/home.asp ) has waffle irons, they sure are well hidden on their website!

Thank you, very much.

Thank You!

Bruce,

Thank you so much! I was going crazy trying to find a waffle iron. Both those sites are perfect and the prices are right too.

Thanks again,

Abbe

I have been searching for just that item. After 2 1/2 hours online, found two places to buy a non electric waffle iron.......first is www.thesustainablevillage.com second is....www.cover-yur-basics.com and just happened onto this site while still searching. guess it picked up on your question....good luck!!!!
