New to group
Greetings to all!
I have been with the food since 1966. A prostate tumor that started at age 12 was treated petrochemically until age 19. Not much progress was made so I was offered the option of surgical removal. I did not accept the universe as being so limited that chemicals and surgeries were the only solutions to health problems. The surgery seemed so final that it would have been a form of giving up. I resolved to die trying rather than to give up. Today I am very much with the food with "manymoons" of mistakes, experience and insight under my belt.
I lived in L.A. for almost 30 years and am now in Wisconsin. I have never been too deeply involved directly with the Marco community at large, but have worked and studied extensively on my own. Some of the people that I have know go back to associations with Osawa, Michio and the group that migrated to Chico California originally.
To me there is nothing more precious than this understanding. It is an integral part of my life and nothing that I do is untouched by it. For years it has been my own private treasure. People that I relate to in my day to day life express curiosity about my food but never take it seriously enough for them selves. I look foward to sharing other's experiences, struggles, failures and successes. It is ALL yin and yang and most interesting.
