Introduce Oneself

Hi

I am Suqing, aged 40’s and from Singapore.

By chance I stumbled on macrobiotics 13 years ago (1991) at a unit in an industrial building. Later, I understood that unit was Brown Rice Paradise. As memory flashes back, the place was dim and pack up with people. They seem to have skin rashes or they were unwell of some sort. That place do health and wholesome foodstuffs. Occasionally, wud be back to check what instore or for tips on this diet of balancing health.

Since 9 years old, I’m always lack of stamina and tired. Memory flashing back, first priority with my first pay packet at age 17 yrs old, I source for health supplements or health alternatives to boost my vitality.

In 1991 then, my husband did not support this macro balance of health. He thought it to be complexed and not flexible and troublesome. So gradually I gave up and turned to traditional chinese medicine.

Then in 1993, my husband was diagnosed of nose cancer, we decided to give macro a trial out. I sourced for info on the practice unfortunately, the support over here was weak and non-committal. Seeing a situation with half answers to the macro diet, my husband would not want his health to be compromised. We turned to the usual hospital treatment. The cancer was in remission in 1993 and 1994.

In mid 1995, the cancer was backed and has spread to the lungs and bones. Internet was not widely feasible then. Somehow I got this feeling that macro does reverse ill health or prolong life with less difficulty when one is ill. I seek out all info linked to macro and even made long distance phone calls to individuals (usually in USA) who were healed completely of their predicament even when they were left with two weeks to one month lifespan. I heard from them personally tat macro can worked and that’s important. I tried cooking macro to the best of my knowledge and intuition (but was quite inflexible, becos I’m scared)

My husband passed away in Nov 1998 leaving my son and me. During three years, he does not suffer much from the cancer as he is able to take the chemo sessions and eat well. The marvelous was in two parts (1) being that I consume the left overs from my late husband’s meals then, I found myself rid of the sinus problem. Till todate, its gone. (2) When the pain of cancer attacks my late husband then, and it was bad that he had to use heavy doses of morphine to counter its attacks. I called up Boston Kushi Institute and they prescribed a veg and grain diet which is to be taken over a period of ten days. When the ten day is up, it is the truth about its prediction by Boston that the excruciating pain will leave his body. I was so amazed and grateful and saw the miracle. Unfortunately, two weeks later, pneonumia attacked him and he died. But the difference is he died with peace and without the pains of cancer.

When my husband died, I was grief, shocked and angry and thought it that macro did not give him a chance. Too devastated, I went into a shock and depression for about two over years. With his death, I stopped the macro practice and my memory went blank over a lot of things about the past.

I only picked up life only about three over years now. Only then I found that I have a lot of catch up and my energy and stamina are deteriorating slowly. I was even hospitalised for two ocassions during these five years for poor breathing stamina, mild arthritis and low immunity.

Currently, I know of a chinese physician who connocts quite accurately, sometimes doses of herbs for my weekly consumption to enable me to cope fairly with the daily routine of life issues. I do not wish my health to be like that of the climate or half alive all the time but to more consistent and in control and to be even better.

I find this cybermacro site very educating and there are tips all around to better understand macro to have a more fulfilling and sunshine life.

Many thanks to those who are givers to make a positive difference in other's life.

Re: Introduce Oneself

Hello Bruce

Thank you for your well-wishes.
Both my son, now 15 yrs old and myself are OKee. except rough times in the first 4.5 years of his father's passing. But it is gradually getting better as he matures slowly. He misses his dad alot although he rejects the subject of his passing each time I raised it.

I can feel he is also worried about my health. Daily, I require abt ten hours of sleep to be fit enough for daily working routine (10.30 pm to 8.30pm). On Saturdays, I usually sleep for about half a day (9.30pm to noon) before I can work on the household chores for Sat and Sun. But Sun, I'm up and early.

My son (it's about three years now) copies my sleeping pattern and wakes up late for school and weekends or delays in housechores. He told me he is tired or no time or wait (which is not). I changed and have less sleeping hours to have a good example for him. Regretably after 6 weeks of such action, I wud become very lifeless and lethargic. So I wud talk to him and as teens he wud be OK and then do it again.

I am concerned and desire to hv my health to be more consistent than always be like, for example, well for two days then unwell for one to three days and then so so. It's so unpredictable and its difficult at times (not to say plan for anything).

Being fit for myself, for my son's welfare and also for contribution to a group of single parents (death and divorce) of which supports is given in particular, to the children. Most of them have very young children age. 3 to 12 yrs. (God is kind, he looks out for us).
