You wrote here, right? You reached out asking for help, right? Thats not , nothing. Perhaps you work better in a group. Is this possible? Maybe thats they way you should "start" persuing things...in a group. It may prove to be a more inspiring way to become proactive.
Hey, don't feel bad. I've been speaking English for 55 years and I still suck at it and I'm from New York...LOL.
I'm not so sure this problem will be solved through food or can be coined in a single phrase. Sounds to me like you need more motivation which is why I suggest starting off working in groups.
I've been a meditator now for over twenty years and find no problem turning my brain down a few notches from, "thought? Thats a good thing by the way. Its good as long as its your choice and you use it to your advantage. You possibly might be the typ of person that needs to "compartmentalize" more.
That is.....take small steps and keep them all lined up so you can "consciously" work them individually at first. Use that as a sort of an exercise until you find yourself at ease at acomplishing small goals. After a time with it...you should be able to mix it all up and become more spontanious with it all.
Try meditating for a few minutes each day and build your meditation practice up to a half hour a day. Perhaps your mind is reeling out of control in too many directions all at once. Slow down bro and relax. Life is good...enjoy all the ups and downs cause like I said....its all good. Especially when you're healthy!
BE well
Namaste'

Re: my brain

I have been through a similar situation before, and I know you have about a million ideas going around in your mind all at the same time. Worries and anxieties about work, life, home, children,...etc (endless list) and they're all important to you; you can't drop any and you want all the job get well done, NOW!!
Well! that was me few months ago until I started to recieve sessions of accupuncture and JinShinJyutsu. You don't have to go the same way!
Generally speaking I would say that among the 12 organs it's the stomach that says "I THINK" If you're ever trapped in your thoughts work on supporting your stomach energy to escape your mental bondage.
Stomach and spleen, the earth element, work together. I might not know enough about dietery macrobiotic recommendations, but generally speaking these organ like the warm food. So eat more of warm food and less of raw foods and fruit juices.
From JSJ you can use the "quikie" of holding your thumb, dropping you shoulders with deeeep breath. Don't force breathing and start with the exhaliing first.
I recommend you see a wholistic therapist who is going to do whatever is needed.
I hope that was just helpful..
take care..
